About Avia Airsports
Officially, Avia Airsports is a club and subdivision of the ‘Koninklijke Sportieve en Culturele kring’ of the Belgian military, whose goal is to promote the development of aerial soaring activities like paragliding, delta, Swift and ULM. Furthermore, it supports the Belgian army in its communication towards young enthusiasts and potential recruits.
In practice, we are a winching club that operates at the Beauvechain military airbase during the non-active hours on Saturdays, Sundays and official holidays. Our members consists of enthousiast, certified pilots who seek to enjoy flying as much as possible. So even though we are a club with military roots, the day to day organisation of the club is by no means military in nature.
